Dmitri Fukunaga

Dmitri Fukunaga is a Vice President of the Carlyle Japan Buyout Advisory Team. He is based in Tokyo.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Fukunaga was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Tokyo Office, with ambassadorship experience at the BCG NYC office. At BCG, Mr. Fukunaga focused on new business development, risk management, digitization strategy, and change management across the financial institutions, insurance, automotive, energy, healthcare, media, and public sectors.

Mr. Fukunaga joined Carlyle in 2020 and has been involved in advising KANAMEL Inc. (formerly AOI TYO Holdings Inc.), Spiber Inc., and Seiko PMC Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at CHEMIPAZ CORPORATION (formerly SEIKO PMC CORPORATION).

Mr. Fukunaga received his M.S. and B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Tokyo.
